Chocolate Mocha Cake With Cream

For the Cake:

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk, at room temperature

  • 1 and 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake Batter:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, and beat until well combined.
  • Slowly add the hot brewed coffee to the batter and mix on low speed until smooth. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay!
